Then look at RSS plugins. The site's RSS feed might contain the entire page content or it might be abbreviated with a "Read more" link to the full page. Tread lightly, respect copyrights, and play nice.

I'm not aware of any plugins that provide a snapshot function like you describe (there's not much need for it) so I suppose your options are learn a little programming and modify an existing scraper...
