i also have several plugins

i love to add a page slider – similar to the one i can see here

well – do i need some special featured slider or something else?
well some folks say that i need a child theme or something else;

i ve read a thread where some guy installed a child theme!?
I had responsive child theme activated and after I deactivated it to fix some
issues and then activated back, my child theme is not available in the themes list, just a responsive theme and everything on the web site is messed up.
In Appearance>Themes – it is now said Broken Themes:
