@Vedran, thank you for your response. What I understand you saying is that it is the booking plug in that will not work for me. From examining the Nightlife theme and playing with the test site, it appears the tevolution plug in will work: I can create custom posts and submission forms with it. The problem is finding a way to add an availability calendar as a custom field. It seems the closest solution is for vacation rentals, but to find one that can have all the fields completely edited...
